How long have you been a professional photographer?
I’ve been working professionally since 2013, with many more years behind the camera before that. Photography and filmmaking have grown from a passion into a career I’m incredibly grateful to have built.

What kind of equipment do you use?
I work primarily with professional Sony full-frame camera systems, paired with Sony, Sigma, and Canon lenses, along with a range of lighting, audio, stabilization, and production equipment depending on the project.

How many images will I receive?
Every session is different, but for event and wedding coverage, clients typically receive approximately 75–100 fully edited images per hour of photography. A 10-hour wedding, for example, may result in roughly 750–1,000 finished photographs.

Quality always comes before hitting a specific number.

What’s included with each package?
Packages vary depending on the type of project, coverage time, and services involved. Wedding collections are designed at several levels so you can choose the amount of coverage and extras that make the most sense for your day. For commercial, portrait, event, and video work, I’m happy to build a custom quote around the specific needs of the project.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept most major forms of payment, including credit and debit cards, ACH/Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, check, and cash.

Can you hold our wedding or event date?

Because I take on a limited number of commissions each year, dates are secured only after the required retainer and signed agreement have been received. Until both are complete, the date remains available.

What kind of retainer do you require?
Wedding commissions generally require a minimum $500 retainer to secure the date. Final payment is typically due five days before the wedding. Other projects may have different deposit and payment schedules depending on the scope of work.

Do you travel?
Absolutely. I’m available for projects throughout the United States and internationally. Local projects within approximately 50 miles of Chicago generally do not require a travel fee. For destination work, travel expenses are quoted based on the location and production needs.

How long until I receive my photos?
Turnaround varies by project. Most portrait and event galleries are delivered within approximately 1–3 weeks. Wedding galleries may require additional time during peak season, depending on the size of the collection and editing involved. I’d rather give each image the attention it deserves than rush the process.

Are you insured?
Yes. I carry professional general liability insurance, along with additional business and equipment coverage. This is especially important for weddings, corporate events, commercial productions, venues, and locations that require proof of insurance.

How far in advance should I book?
Weddings are commonly booked 6–12 months in advance, although popular dates can fill earlier. Portraits, events, commercial projects, and video productions are scheduled based on availability. A few weeks to a month of lead time is ideal whenever possible, but I’m always happy to check availability for last-minute projects.

Do you offer engagement sessions?
Absolutely. Engagement sessions are included with select wedding collections and can also be booked separately. Beyond giving you great photographs, they’re an excellent opportunity for us to work together before the wedding day so being in front of the camera feels much more natural.

Do you provide RAW or unedited images?
The finished work I deliver represents the final creative product, so RAW and unedited files are generally not included. Every delivered image is individually selected and professionally finished to match the style you see throughout my portfolio.

Can you provide both photography and video?
Yes. Depending on the project, I can provide photography, video, or coordinate a team to cover both simultaneously. For larger productions and events, additional photographers, camera operators, audio professionals, and production crew can be added.

Can you customize a package?
Absolutely. Packages are helpful starting points, but no two projects are exactly alike. If you need something different, tell me what you’re planning and I can build coverage around it.

Do you ever turn down projects?
Occasionally, yes. The best work happens when the client and creative team are a strong fit. Photography and filmmaking are collaborative, and that connection matters, especially for something as personal as a wedding or as important as a commercial production. I encourage every client to spend some time with my portfolio and make sure the style, approach, and personality feel right. If we’re a good match, fantastic. If not, I’d rather point you toward someone who may be a better fit than force the wrong creative partnership.
