How how long have you been a professional photographer?

I've had the great privilege to be a professional for 10 years and an amateur for longer

What kind of equipment do you use?

Photo: Canon bodies and lenses + Sigma Lenses

Video: Sony bodies and Lenses

How many images do you take?

A lot! You'll receive an average of 50-75 finished images per hour.  So for a 10 hour wedding or session, expect to receive around 500-750 polished images from your day.

What's included with each package?

Weddings: That depends...Each of my four wedding packages adds value as one goes from the Essentials to the Premier package. You can see what is included by downloading my brochure and price sheet HERE or by clicking the "Investment" tab.

What forms of payment do you take?

I take all most forms: credit / debit card, cash, Venmo, Paypal, Chase (Zelle), and check.

Can you hold our wedding date?

Unfortunately I cannot, RBP takes a limited amount of clients per year and cannot hold a date until a retainer and signed contract have been received.

What kind of retainer do you require and when is final payment due?

I generally require a $500 minimum retainer for weddings and the final payment is due 5 days prior to the wedding.

Are you available for destination weddings?  Do you charge a travel fee?

Of course!  I love to travel, especially for weddings!  I can travel both stateside and internationally.  As for a travel fee, I do not charge for local weddings within 50 miles of Chicago  If I need to fly, I charge for the cost of a plane ticket and 2 nights hotel stay.

How long until we can see our photos?

During the heart of wedding season, the average time it takes to edit your images, and process takes 4-8 weeks. However, there will be previews uploaded to Facebook within 72 hours that you'll be able to share with friends and family.

Do you have Insurance?

Yes, I absolutely do.  It is also one of the most important questions you need to ask your vendors.  I carry a $1,000,000 general liability policy, along with property and indemnity coverage.

How far in advance do you book?

On average, I book weddings 6-12 months out and other sessions are subject to availability. Typically, one or more months for portrait sessions.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Absolutely! Depending on the wedding package selected, in most cases the engagement session is included with the commission.

Do you turn down weddings?

It’s so important that we’re a good fit.  A majority of your wedding day will be spent with your photographer, so we must mesh well as a team and be on the same page.  I am NOT the photographer for everyone and that’s okay.  Please review my portfolio to see if your style expectations match my own photographic style.  Ideally, an initial consultation either in my studio, out for coffee or lunch helps us get to know one another and if we’re the right fit.  If we’re not able to meet in person, Skype conversations also work out well.
